A street scene in my Town.
Below is a small part of my collection of cottages.
The cottage image on the left,
I painted in watercolour and pastel's,
This cottage is a typical scene
in Essex in the U.K.
Pic's I took on my travels.
I loved going out on a sunny day,
with my sketchbook to capture scenes like these ! I took along my camera incase of bad weather,then i could quickly get a shot,to finish the scene at home.
But....I used my Artist's licence to pretty things up !!
and this beautiful church is near me !

This webpage is really a showplace for my paintings,
I did go to college in my early years to
study Art and Design,
but i can truthly say i am selftaught.
It all started out as a hobby,
to fill my spare time,
but it ended up as work.
I had my paintings published
by a well known London publisher,
which was flattering and made me money
although i lost the feeling of enjoyment It's not the same when you are working from a brief for other people.
