I've learnt that you cannot make someone love you,
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I've learnt that no matter how much I care,
Some people just don't care too much about it.
I've learnt that it takes years to build up trust,
And only seconds to destroy it.
I've learnt that it's not what you have in your life,
But who you have in your life that counts.
Take Me Home
by: Gus Hahn

One day, two friends of mine wanted to spend some time with me at a local park.
I was about 11 years of age at the time.
The process of muscular dystrophy had set in, making it difficult for me to walk.
I thought it would be fun, so I agreed to join them.
After spending some time there, they ran home by themselves knowing that
I would not be able to keep up with them.
There was nothing I could do but just walk home.
My legs started to get tired and it was a long journey home.
Suddenly, this man on a bike stopped beside me and offered to take me home.
What was so amazing was that I didn't tell him where I lived but he knew exactly where to
go.
now i know that angels do exist.
Was there an Angel?
We had been house hunting for 2 years
and I was about to give up and call in home improvement companies.
One Friday afternoon I had just returned to my car
when there was a tap at the window.
Looking out there was a senior lady (can be read as - Little old Lady)
looking very concerned.
She wanted to go to the shopping centre in the next suburb
as the elastic in her nickers had snapped.
I offered her a lift there -
she refused to allow me to drive her home.
Her name was Mary
and in her lovely Irish brogue she told me about her
dearly departed Charlie who was now an Angel
and who was looking after her.
Mary was so thankful
she was going to ask Charlie to look after me too.
On the Sunday we saw the ad in the papers.
On the Monday we viewed a great house
and on the Tuesday evening we bought it.
Was this Charlie looking after me?
The home was the first time offered.
That was 5 years ago and I have not seen Mary since.
The house is gorgeous and is just us.

Thankyou Jean !
My first experience with angels was in 1990-1991 and I'll never
forget it.
I remember deciding to snack on a bit
of cheese and crackers
night while listening to the "smooth" jazz playing on the radio.
After finishing the snack,
I laid belly down - head resting on
raised arms - and stared straight ahead at the bare wall
in front of
me.
For the jazz on the radio switched to what could be called
"space age"
or "new age" music
and had already put me into one of
those involuntary trances.
I lost track of time, place, who I was,
and I didn't care.
The music playing on the radio was so unique and
beautiful -
it was nothing like I had ever heard!
> And then I was there!
I had no sensation of leaving my body
and I wasn't able to track the
thought that might have led me to this place.
But all of a sudden,
I was seeing people with wings!
And they were flying, walking,
sitting... above the clouds.
I couldn't believe my eyes!
They looked
just glorious. Perfect. Content. But... nude?
I must have pondered the nudity for a millisecond
until it just
wasn't important
and apparently became perfectly natural to me.
And then I became concerned.
It was as if my logical mind
> reminded me that the only way
I could possibly see nude people
flying above clouds was if these things
were angels and I was...dead
Talk about your wake up call!
"I didn't want to die
What did I do
to die?!?
I believe it was this small
amount of panic that alerted
one particular male angel
to my presence which before hand went
undetected. This angel was not (and I repeat)
not friendly at all!
> In fact, he was rather rude and blankly told me through telepathy,
"You don't belong here. Get out."
Yikes! I felt like a kid in a candy store
caught trying to leave
without paying for the candy.
This feeling of embarrassment is what
I think snapped me out of this wondrous place
and there before my
eyes was my bare wall again.
Curiously, the song on the radio that started at the same time
the
experience started was fading off
so I suspect the trip lasted about
1-2 minutes.
In this short amount of time I saw about 10 different
scenes.
I have since dedicated my art career to re-capturing
this
experience on paper and sharing them with the world.
And
Philadelphia Cream Cheese too!
I'm pretty sure this is what
induced the experience.
After all, I got up from the floor to check
the expiration date on that stuff and guess what --
seems I should
have paid attention to that thin layer of hard crust!
The end. LOL (This story is true!!)
