My trip to Rome in Italy

THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN

Three coins in the fountain
Each one seeking happiness
Thrown by three hopeful lovers
Which one will the fountain bless?

Three hearts in the fountain
Each heart longing for its home
There they lie in the fountain
Somewhere in the heart of Rome

Which one will the fountain bless?
Which one will the fountain bless?

Three coins in the fountain
Through the ripples how they shine
Just one wish will be granted
One heart will wear a valentine

Make it mine!
Make it mine!
Make it mine!

Which one will the fountain bless?
Which one will the fountain bless?

Three coins in the fountain
Through the ripples how they shine
Just one wish will be granted
One heart will wear a valentine
Make it mine!
Make it mine!
Make it mine!

Public events such as gladiator fights,
mock naval battles and wild animal hunts
were held at the Coliseum.
During the staged fights
as many as 10,000 people were killed.
Fighters were slaves,
prisoners or volunteers.
Spectators saw persecuted Christians killed by lions.

The Fountain of Trevi
Legend says that if you toss a coin
into the fountain over your shoulder,
you will one day return to the eternal city
