All
of
their
tomorrow's
Are
now
our
yesterdays
Portrayed
in
gentle
windows
In
passionate
displays
Life
it
seems
so
perfect
Like
gentle
waves
that
fell
Upon
their
souls
with
canvas
In
stories
they
now
tell
Child
is
filled
with
wonder
As
bird
feeds
near
the
ground
Pointing
to
this
splendor
That
makes
it
all
spellbound
Moments
of
this
pleasure
Captured
by
the
light
As
artist
saw
the
glory
Within
this
canvas
bright
Morning
so
delightful
It
never
goes
away
Masterpiece
forever
The
artist
has
portrayed
So
it
brings
a
glowing
That
comes
in
golden
scene
Each
brush
stoke
of
this
master
Has
captured
life
serene.

VENICE
My Holiday in Venice 2002
I travelled to Venice
with my friend Joan
It was the most exciting
holiday so far.
Very different, a magical, fairytale place!
In Venice light and water combine
to create a restless magic.
All borderlines are eradicated
some where between dream and reality,
present and past,
the ethereal nature of this town
has fascinated many
famous people.
"The Grand Canal,
the most beautiful thoroughfare
in the world that I know of,
has the best houses along it,
and runs from one end of the city to the other."
Quote from
Philippe de Commynes
"And at night they sang in the gondolas,
and in the barche with lanterns;
the prows rose silver on silver,
taking light in the darkness."
Ezra Pound
The Bridge of Sighs
The Bridge of Sighs received its name in the 17th century, because the prisoners who passed through it on their way to the prison cells on the other side would most likely see the beautiful sight of the lagoon and the island of S.Giorgio and freedom for the last time.
